We enjoyed a quiet weekend with our favorite little boys for the holiday. I greatly appreciate how pop-its and sparklers are AMAZING fun for a 4 year old (and scary for a 1 year old), because I know in a couple years they will want bigger and louder (which also means more expensive) fireworks :)

Since Sunday was the 4th of July this meant Daddy got Monday off too.... YIPPEE! So off to the Vancouver Zoo we headed for some family time! The sun came out just as we arrived and we had a great time walking around, checking out the animals, climbing on the animal statues (so Mommy could take pictures!) and playing at the playground. At dinner we asked Noah what his favorite part of the zoo was.... "all of it! and of course the giraffes!" We suspect Treston's favorite part was riding on the bus tour, he sat quietly on Daddy's lap and turned to giggle at Mommy every time the bus went over a bump.... too cute! Isn't the GV Zoo the best? Luke LOVES it...that's why we got the season pass, totally worth it! Next time you want to go, I'm game for meeting up with you, it's always fun to go! :)
