After church Sunday morning, we decided to pack a picnic lunch and go up to Twin Lakes. Well.... after traveling 2 of the 7 miles up the steep, bumpy, gravel "road" we hit snow and the truck tires started spinning! Which caused mommy (me) to freak out, thus freaking out the boys and Daddy looking at all of us and telling us to relax and that we were not stuck :) But we did decide to back down the one lane "road" until we could safely turn around and concluded that we would try this adventure again in a month. I also have to add Noah's quote to the day as we were slowly travel up this bumpy "road"..... "Dad, are we gonna survive this adventure?!?!"
Well, the boys were thoroughly disappointed and we quickly came up with a plan B.... eating lunch at Nooksack Falls and fishing at Silver Lake. Here are some pictures of our beautiful Sunday afternoon....
