We recently took our first camping trip as a family of 4 and although the packing and unpacking is a lot of work, the actually camping part was a lot of fun! We had reservations made for Bay View State Park for Sunday and Monday night and at the last minute we decided to camp on Saturday night too. So late Saturday afternoon we drove up to Silver Lake and found a campsite open for the night.
Camping Night 1 at Silver Lake: Highlights include climbing trees, carving sticks, hiking on the forest trails, bath-time in the trailer tub, and a 2 year old who didn't sleep much at all!

Sunday morning we hiked a little more and then packed up and headed to Bay View State Park near Padilla Bay. We had beautiful weather at the bay and enjoyed relaxing together as a family... playing soccer and frisbee, walks to the beach, treasure hunting (aka: geo-caching), playing Go Fish and eating yummy food.
