Family time on the Olympic Peninsula

We were able to go on a last-minute mini vacation the end of July as a family.  We decided to explore the Olympic Peninsula and we were able to find a house to stay at for 2 nights in Sequim.  We headed out on an unusually wet July day (go figure!).  The kids loved riding on the ferry to Port Townsend!

From Port Townsend it was less than an hour drive to the house we booked in Sequim.

Thursday morning we planned to make the drive to the Olympic National Forest and explore the Ho Rainforest.  What an amazing area to explore and marvel at all of God's creation!

We all had fun on one of the hiking trails, the kids really loved exploring :)

 It was a beautiful evening down by the bay where we were staying.....

 And off to the Olympic Game Farm we went.....

What a crazy experience, driving through the game farm and being able to feed some of the animals from the windows.  The kids loved it, though many of the windows had to stay closed because they were scared (and so was I!)

Time for another ferry ride home....this time a sunny one!

Noah had a lot of fun taking pictures on this trip (many of the animal ones) but I loved this one he got of Treston :)

 After the ferry ride we decided to explore Fort Casey before heading home...

We found a geo-cache near the light house!

 

Such a fun time together and by far our best trip as a family of 6 so far! 
(Though our little princess does not sleep well away from her castle!)
